One of my absolute FAVORITE kind of music in the world, soul/funk. This song, "Freddies Dead" preformed live in this video is a highlight from Curtis Mayfield's phenominaly cool soundtrack to the blaxploitation movie of the seventies "Superfly." This man's stone cold grooves have been sampled by almost every rap or hip hop outfit out there today. This song was also covered by funk band Fishbone. They all bow to this legend and so should you.
