Song from the album "Psychocandy." This band was a major player in the noise rock/shoe-gazing genre of the 80s. This is music for people who are completely numb.
Buffalo Tom's video for the song Sunflower Suit for their self-titled first album from 1988. This band was highly influenced by Dinosaur Jr. on they're first few albums. Buffalo Tom has always been on the brink of success but have never quite made it.
Ministry mixed hardcore thrash with industrial sounds to achieve their trademark sound back in the 90s. Before that they were just another electronic dance band which just sounds silly now after hearing a song like this. The only other bands out there who come close to rocking out in the same way are Nine Inch Nails and Rob Zombie.
Live at Australia's Metro Theatre. Die and go to fuzz guitar heaven with the Black Keys. Can you believe just two guys can make so much noise. Influenced by the White Stripes.
Guitar genius J. Mascis and his band Dinosaur Jr rips it up on this one and every other song on every other cd they put out. My favorite guitarist.
The name says it all.
The greatest song of the 90s in my opinion. The guitar solo is such a rush. Off the album Siamese Dream, if you don't already own it, buy it.
Another hella-good song from the Melvins from their Houdini album
Rare footage from a Smashing Pumkins show, the song is called Drown. Lead singer and lead guitarest Billy Corgan looks better bald says I.
