Crazy bass and lead guitar battle between the Wooten brothers Regi and Victor live. Regi is playing the lead guitar like a bass guitar.
Sick bass-line right here from master-of -cerimonies Les Claypool. Maybe the way he sings can get really really annoying sometimes, I know that's what I thought when I first discoverd this band but when you really sit down and listen to them and focus on the instramentals, they rock. And when you have one of the band's trademark crazy videos to watch, it makes the expirience all the more fun. Claypool is a joker.
The VERY first 311 show. Look at how young everyone is and Tim has long hair. This is live in Omaha at the Earth Day Festival. This clip also gives a good close-up on some of P-nut's early bass guitar work. Before they were called 311 the bands name was "Fish Hippos."
The Velvet Underground was one of the first groups to look at life without the kaliedescope. There are nothing but harsh realistic references to hard life on the streets on this album. This particular song is about drug addiction as the main character in the song is waiting to his drug dealer. Drug addiction never sounded so sweet. Also check out the song Heroin for more of the same.
Video from the endlessly influential band the Velvet Underground.
Nice little tune from the indie band Pavement from the album Crooked Rain Crooked Rain.
Live at Australia's Metro Theatre. Die and go to fuzz guitar heaven with the Black Keys. Can you believe just two guys can make so much noise. Influenced by the White Stripes.
Great video off the album "Now I Got Worry."
Groovy tune from Jon Spencer off the album Orange, can you tell by the music video?
