early 90s

Monster Magnet- Twin Earth

From the album Superjudge (1992), made by Dave Wyndorf (vocals, guitar), Ed Mundell (guitar), Joe Calandra (bass), Jon Kleiman (drums) and Tim Cronin (mountain of judgement).

Monster Magnet- Medicine

This is the first video Monster Magnet ever made, Medicine, from their first full-length acid-drenched album Spine Of God (1991).

Tool- Cold and Ugly (Live)

They have since become the Pink Floyd of the heavy metal scene but back in the Opiate days in the early 90s, Tool was just a notch above the rest of the similar sounding grunge bands of the day. This is an clip from a show in 1992, they play Cold and Ugly and Sober.

Jeff Buckley- So Real

Son of legendary folk rock legend Tim Buckely, Jeff like his father died at a young age, drowning. This song is from the album "Grace."

54-40- Ocean Pearl

The official video release of "Ocean Pearl" from Canadian band 54-40.

Testament- Low

I can't believe MTV used to play stuff like this!

Testament- Electric Crown

By far the best song from the band thrash band Testament. This band gets half the respect bands like Metallica and Megadeth get but they certianly hold their own among those giants. The sound in this video is a little off. From the album "The Ritual."

Testament- Souls of Black

Great bass intro in this hard hitting track from the most underrated of all the bands from the classic thrash era. Alex Skolnick is an incredible lead guitarist.

Slayer- War Ensamble (Live)

Some of the fastest thrash ever recorded by one of biggest thrash bands of the 80s. This is Slayer live in Wembley U.K. in 1990.
